A beautiful lawn in Middle Tennessee does not happen by accident. The industry standard approach is a low-tier plan of 4 to 6 services per year, which might work in Ohio, but simply isn't enough to prevent summer fungal disease here. In our subtropical climate zone, fescue stays soaking wet for up to 12 hours a day from dew alone. This allows the lawn to die over the summer months, leading to surprise upsells for expensive fungicide treatments or fall aeration and seeding. Mr. Lawn Care is different. We provide exactly 8 services per year—no more, no less—designed to prevent or control all probable pests and issues based on historical weather data and plant needs.
We offer one standard of care, not multiple tiers. Every customer receives our comprehensive program, which includes a 28-day fungicide cycle from May through August to prevent brown patch and dollar spot. We start in May with propiconazole to suppress Bermuda grass and wild violets. We also include a bee-safe Acelepryn insecticide application in June to control grubs and armyworms, and 2 services each in spring and fall featuring granular nitrogen and liquid post-emergent weed control. This all-inclusive approach means no surprise upsells, ever.
Our program also includes unique benefits most companies charge extra for, or don't offer at all. We include Dallisgrass and Johnsongrass control at no extra charge (a 2-3 year process), and 6 of our 8 services include Bermuda grass suppression to keep your fescue dominant. We also offer a monthly payment plan so the cost is spread evenly across the year with no extra fees or credit card fees, plus a 5% discount for prepaying by check.

Yes. In June, we apply Acelepryn, a premium insecticide that is bee-safe and highly effective against grubworms and the ever-looming threat of armyworms. Unlike the industry standard approach, this is included in your normal service plan, not sold as an expensive add-on.
Yes. We are one of the few companies to include Dallisgrass and Johnsongrass control at no extra charge (though complete control takes 2-3 years). Additionally, 6 of our 8 services include products that suppress common Bermuda grass. Combined with proper mowing habits, this keeps Bermuda from taking over your fescue lawn.
Yes. We bring more products to each service than any one lawn might need, and we adjust rates based on what each specific lawn requires. A new-build lawn next to an established mature lawn will get different nitrogen rates and products. While established lawns often skip summer nitrogen, new builds may receive extra nitrogen throughout the year as needed. Spot treatments like Dallisgrass control are applied only where needed, not broadcast across the entire lawn.
All new customers receive a soil test in the spring. We use it as a diagnostic tool — not a checklist to correct everything at once. On the question of lime specifically: out of thousands of soil samples pulled in Middle Tennessee, fewer than 10 had a pH low enough to actually benefit from lime. Lime is far more likely to hurt than help in our area. We only apply it if your soil test genuinely shows it is needed.
